About Me

Back in a March of 1988, somewhere in a hospital in sunny Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, at about 4pm, I was born. Now 19 and a half years later I sit here wondering what to put here.

Well where to start... I left college in the summer of '06 after finishing my A-Levels, not getting the best results, and also deciding not to go to university but to seek work instead. In the early August of 2006 I started work as a website developer for a local company called Fubra. But more about that later.

Outside of work I like to relax and take things easy. I used to spend a lot of time doing photography, but since startinng working I havn't been able to do as much as I would have liked to have done, hope to have that sorted soon and I am actually going to try and make an effort to do some more photography.

Alot of the time you can find me listening to music, a lot of the bands I listen to are rock based, with some of my favourites being Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Disturbed, Nightwish, Foo Fighters, Hoobastank, Michael Jackson, Tenacious D and Nickelback. Along with listening to music, I am also slowly teaching myself to play the guitar.

Work

As said above, for just over a year now I have been working as a website developer for a local company called Fubra. They own some big UK websites like OurProperty and PetrolPrices.

Alot of the coding I do is based around PHP & MySQL, but I also have a knowledge in HTML, XHTML, CSS and Javascript / AJAX.

Alot of the work I started off doing was bug fixing and compleatling half finished tools. But it wasn't too long before I was given my first project which was taking our existing Copy Writers system, which we use to assign jobs to get content written for our websites, and rewriting the system and adding new features.

Right now though I am working with a few other people in creating a new network called TalkOn.it. its still in early stages but alot of work is being put in behind the scenes with features like forums, photo and video sharing and lots of other features.
